Chairman Jez Webb talked about his vision for the club over the next 5 years both on and off the pitch. The new plans include a new 300 seat undercover stand although Jez promised not to spend all his children’s inheritance on the club!
The session kicked off with a short film called “Local Pride” by Leigh Moore (son of Supermarine’s President Steve Moore) which captured a typical matchday through the eyes of fans, volunteers and club officials. The film got to the heart of what the club means to the local community and lovers of non-league football and everyone agreed it was a great piece of filmmaking. We are all thankful to Leigh for applying his immense talent to making this touching and humorous documentary for the club.
Next on the agenda was a panel session hosted by Steve Moore and Brian Davies who looks after the club’s social media.

Women’s and Academy Manager Kerry Walklett talked more about the academy and how she planned to grow women’s football at Supermarine. This was reflected in discussions during the break where supporters agreed that the club’s inclusive family values have created an atmosphere in which women’s football can truly thrive.
Cherie-Anne Baxter from Universal, one of the club’s main sponsors explained why the company had first decided to sponsor the club and how the relationship provided an opportunity to support the local community as well as helping the business to grow.
After short break (during which the film was shown again by popular demand) the panel took questions from the audience. There was a lot of focus on growing the club and the fan base and some great ideas were taken away by club officials. Jez emphasised the importance of the club’s sponsors and encouraged fans to use their services and help promote them wherever possible.
The meeting closed with thanks and a huge round of applause for the volunteers who make the club so successful success and such a special part of the local community.
